THROWDOWN FOR CROHN’S AND COLITIS

Battle of Barbells, Throwdowns.com, 7five Apparel, and Middle TN Spine and Joint Center are proud to partner up with #projecvisible to bring you this online event.

This online competition will have three WODs that will be completed within a 35 minute running clock. You will have the opportunity to enter your scores anytime between Monday April 10th through Saturday April 15th.

All proceeds will benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America

2017 BATTLE OF THE BARBELLS

November 4 & 5, 2017

Our 2 day individual only premier competition just got a little better. In our 5th year, we decided to move to a different venue to better meet the needs of our athletes and spectators. The 2017 Battle of the Barbells will be held at the Middle Tennessee Expo Center.

Thank you to CrossFit Murfreeboro for being a great host to us for the last several years. The new venue is just a few minutes away and offers more space for athletes, spectators, & vendors. As well as ample parking and bathrooms.

2017 BATTLE OF THE BARBELLS TEAM COMPETITION

2017 Team Competition Vendors

PARKING MAP / ATHLETE AREA

PARKING:
Please park in the green areas only. There will be parking signs directing you. For your convenience, we will also have a shuttle service that will run loops throughout the entire day. They will pick up and drop off in the designated areas. DO NOT park on the street or the areas marked RED.

ATHLETE AREA:
The athlete tent area will be outside in the parking lot adjacent to CrossFit Hendersonville as well as other areas where you can fit. We have limited space indoors so we are not able to hold everyone's stuff inside.

EVENT 1

RX/SCALED:
Athletes A&B do the set of 18’s, Athletes A&C do the set of 30’s, Athletes B&C do the set of 42’s. Split reps as needed. Both Athletes run and the next round does start until both athletes finish the run.

MASTERS:
Both Athletes split reps as needed and they both run. The next round does start until both athletes finish the run.

EVENT 2

RX/SCALED:
Athlete A starts on the rower and rows 500m, Athlete B starts on the rower as soon as Athlete A is done and the rower is reset to 0, repeat for Athlete C. The workout ends when Athlete C is done with the 30 Alt KB snatches.

SCALED:
Weighted forward lunges are done while holding a plate next to or in front of the Athletes chest.
Men – 35#, Women – 15#

MASTERS:
Athlete A starts on the rower and rows 500m, Athlete B starts on the rower as soon as Athlete A is done and the rower is reset to 0. The workout ends when Athlete B is done with the 30 Alt KB snatches.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The following changes have been made

VIDEO SUBMISSION:
– Video submissions will now be OPTIONAL. However, video submissions will be required if you want to compete for a podium spot. The highest overall placing an athlete can place who does not submit videos is 4th in their respective division. Video submission rules will announced this week but will be very similar to the Open and other online qualifiers.

PRIZES:
– As stated above, only athletes who submit videos will be eligible for the podium and prizes. However, ALL registered athletes, will be entered in a raffle and will still have the ability to win some prizes from our sponsors.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
– All athletes MUST be registered by 11:00pm on Friday January 1st. If we do not hit our minimum number of registrations, then unfortunately we will have to cancel this online challenge.

This is WOD 2 of 3 that we are announcing. At the 2015 Battle of the Barbells, there will be 7 scored events for everyone and an 8th final event for the top 6 male/female in Elite and RX.
